All IMPs possess an on-board microcomputer for data conversion, validation, timing and local data buffering. The S-Net is a twisted pair cable that can connect up to fifty multi-channel IMPs and is capable of processing up 1,000 channels per second. The distributed network itself could extend over a distance of one mile. As well as handling communications and data, the S-Net also supplied power to the IMPs. The LED Studio products aquire full Network Rail Approval http://www.theledstudio.co.uk/imp.html The LED Studio is proud to become a distributer for the new Trackstar rail application http://www.theledstudio.co.uk/trackstar.html TrackStar is a rail application specific version of Scadatec’s established Procyon software. TrackStar is intended for level crossing and interlocking event recording and analysis and provides local on-site access to recorded data as well as remote operations by multiple users. SCADA Control for LED Production Display and Monitoring System http://theledstudio.co.uk/news.html Traditionally, most LED display providers purely provide LED panels into industrial environments and have not been concerned with the industrial process that lies behind the requirement. The LED Studio, have recently used a SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) package to carry out production line monitoring and reporting as well as the control of a production line LED display board. The choice of SCADA package was VEE Pro from Agilent and this was used to implement the monitoring and control system along with in house purpose designed electronics to carry out the data acquisition element of the application. Using VEE Pro provides a number of benefits both to The LED Studio engineers who are responsible for development of the system as well as the end user who wishes to maintain and update the system. Most notably, VEE it made it possible to rapidly develop a robust and easily scaleable application that can maintained and modified by skilled end users who may not have the experience or time to work with traditional high level programming languages. The strong engineering and industrial background of The LED Studio continues to make us first choice for industrial and professional users who require data acquisition, monitoring and display systems. Cricket Pad - Touch Screen Based Cricket Score Board Controller http://theledstudio.co.uk/news.html The LED Studio is please to introduce the Cricket Pad touch screen based score board controller. A dedicated LCD touch screen controller mimics the scoreboard layout whilst allowing the user to touch relevant areas of the screen to change required values. The Cricket Pad brings scoring systems up to date, using more reliable technology than PC based systems whilst being easier to operate and more flexible in its operation than traditional rotary switch based controllers. We are also able to supply touch screen based controllers to work with our scoreboards for other dedicated or multi-sport based boards. LED Displays Include Fault Detection for Mission Critical Applications http://theledstudio.co.uk/news.html The LED Studio is currently designing a new range of LED display panels that include the ability to detect open and short circuit faults on an individual LED basis. Standard panels are available in 10, 12 and 14mm pitches and have a default minimum size of 8 X 8 LEDs but are extendable to create multi-character, multi-line displays. Flexible controller operation also allows the creation of default graphic sets to allow the display of warning and advice symbols. Currently, panels are available in single colour only versions however, bi-colour displays (red, yellow) will shortly be joining the product line. These display panels are suited for any application that requires inbuilt diagnosis of panel faults and as such are ideal to be specified for use in highway (traffic information) and public information (train station, sea port and airport) signage applications where inbuilt fault diagnosis is required.
