The LED Studio Delivers Ocean® Portal at Battersea Power Station

The LED Studio has partnered with Ocean Outdoor to deliver Ocean® Portal at Battersea Power Station, a new digital out-of-home format redefining how audiences engage with content in physical space.

Custom designed and manufactured by The LED Studio, Ocean® Portal is a fully immersive, double-sided LED experience that transforms high-footfall environments into interactive, walk-in destinations. Installed at one of London’s most iconic locations, the Portal moves beyond traditional screen formats, placing audiences directly inside the content.

The freestanding structure combines five high-definition LED surfaces, including an integrated LED floor, to create a seamless, enclosed environment. Despite its scale, the system maintains a remarkably slim profile and has been engineered for durability, supporting significant load while maintaining exceptional visual performance.

Working closely with Ocean Outdoor, alongside Ocean Labs and Ocean Studio, The LED Studio led the build and delivery of the Portal, ensuring a precision-engineered solution capable of supporting both creative ambition and operational flexibility.

Powered by real-time motion tracking, LiDAR technology and mixed reality, the Portal enables audiences to interact with content dynamically. This creates a new level of engagement for brands, transforming passive viewing into active participation. Content is rendered using high-performance gaming and virtual production technologies, allowing for cinematic, responsive experiences that evolve in real time.

The modular design allows the Portal to be deployed across a wide range of environments, from retail destinations and transport hubs to events, exhibitions and stadiums. Its flexibility, combined with high brightness, durability and rapid installation, makes it a powerful new platform for immersive brand storytelling.
